The purpose of the Catholic Community Fund, the unrestricted grantmaking fund of The Catholic Diocese of Cleveland Foundation is to make grants that build community in a manner that reflects the vision of Bishop Richard G. Lennon. The Catholic Community Fund shall be used for grantmaking in areas of priority to the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland . With the leadership of Bishop Lennon and the Diocesan Secretariats, the Foundation Board of Directors will develop and periodically review the criteria for grantmaking from this Fund.

Areas of particular interest include cultural diversity, education, health and human services, regional development and partnerships throughout the eight-county Diocese. Grants from the Fund are encouraged to benefit not only Diocesan institutions and programs, but also other faith-based organizations and organizations with similar missions.

Gifts of any amount will be welcome to assist the Bishop address priority needs throughout the Diocese. Often gifts to this Fund will be contributed by check or by a gift of appreciated securities. We suggest you contact the Foundation to learn more about how a gift to this Fund will benefit the Diocese and the community.
