The mission: The Catholic Diocese of Cleveland Foundation, guided by gospel values, raises funds, makes grants, and manages assets to foster philanthropy and advance the priorities in the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland.
Bishop Anthony M. Pilla created the faith-based Foundation in 2000 to foster philanthropy throughout the Diocese, which includes Ashland, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Medina, Summit and Wayne Counties. On behalf of Bishop Richard G. Lennon, the Foundation currently coordinates fundraising for schools, agencies and organizations owned and operated by the Diocese. Under the leadership of Board Chair Paul Clark and Executive Director Patrick Grace, the Foundation raised nearly $17 million in 2006 through the generosity of some 64,000 donors.
